Like a trip through paradise, each day brings a different feeling. I find myself returning home . . . to my printmaking, to drawing, to my inner most self ~ a self who I continue to recognize like an old friend, again and again. I am discovering new energy and can’t wait to get up each morning and see what each of my stone faces will look like!

Kindred Gardens is the manifestation of a life-long dream. It is no surprise that my dream would also show up in my art. Hauntingly, I find myself drawn to these three images, envisioning many different versions of each one.

I have begun with three oil sketches, then transferred each to a slab of marble. The colors first float across the surface, then sink deep into the stone. I love the way the veins in the marble contribute subtle nuances to each image. Once fused with the stone, I draw back into them with oil washes and pen. Layer upon layer, each one is different … subtle … slowly evolving from the one preceding it. And each day as I go along creating the stones, I see similar evolutions in Kindred Gardens and in my own physical being.

To allow myself sufficient time and space to fully explore and assimilate the evolutions, I am creating 25 versions of each. You can purchase one by placing your order below. You will get the stone which corresponds with the sequence in which your order is placed. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your stone, you may return it. Yours will go the next person. If you wish, your name can go back on the list for the next available in the series.

I am a believer in the Divine guidance of all things. I know that the right people for each will find their way onto ‘the list’ in the correct sequence. I know I will get to hear many inspiring stories about the special meaning you find in each one.
